Web directory submission

whos taken advantage of such a service. is it worthwhile to do. some prices are really cheap but give lots of links. should i have someone submit for me because it is very slow to do it yourself and people offer service so cheap.

Submitting yourself is always the best but can be very time consuming. The people offering the service will use automated submission techniques which wil get your site listed in many directories but looks 'unnatural' to search engines such as google. Getting to many links too quick can actually be bad, escpecially if the are all identical (they start to look like spam to search engines).

Submit manually if you can.

Check out a tool called diggimax, it has automated and manual submission. The auto is really easy and the manual is good too. They have like 1500 directories that you can submit to. You'll never do it manually again.
