so have you ever been to Panama?  it is a really nice country, no so commercialized as Mexico or something.  they seem new to tourism a bit they are not pros yet. 

while in Panama i rented a car to drive to a surfing competition far away and while driving I got lost.  some how I missed a turn and we ended up in a city we didnt know.  we read our tour book and it said that this city had the highest rate of violent crime in Panama.  so we rolled up all our windows and tried to turn around.  during this we saw another rented car just like ours with the window smashed out.  we finally got out of the city and saw the sign, that we missed to make our turn had been knocked over.

luckily nothing happened but my girlfriend and I were really scared.  we got to the national surfing competition at a place called isle grande, it was awesome but the journey there and home was scary!
